Extract ISO

With this feature you can extract ISO-Files in batch-mode. You can check or uncheck "Autopatch" option for every file to be extracted. If this option is checked, the (main) default.xbe will be patched which is extracted but the original ISO-file will not be edited. If there are more default.xbe files which are not in the root of the file, they will not be (auto)patched.

You can add ISO-Files one by one or you can use the windows-explorer to drag and drop a couple of iso-files. If you use the drag&drop functionality, the iso will be extracted in a folder named to the Title of the game/application which will be created in the same folder which contains the iso-file.

While extracting ISO-files, you can follow the stats of the files on the screen. The files which are done will be marked as "Done" and the one wich is being created at the time will be marked as "Active"

Create ISO

This feature allows you to create an ISO-file from a folder. This feature works allso on batch-mode.

Drag&Drop from windows explorer is allso implemented here so you can select a couple of folders, drag and drop them to make ISO-files. When you use this option, the output filename will be the same as the Title which is stored in default.xbe file and the output folder will be the (PARENT)folder of the folder from which the iso should be created.

ISO-files which should be larger than 4 GB are not allowed to be created on a FAT32 partition, choose a NTFS partition to create those.

You can allso follow the stats here while creating the files.

Multigame Wizard (MenuX and MXM)

There are 2 multigame-wizards at the time; MenuX and MXM.

You can add folders and/or ISO-Files one by one or using the Drag&Drop functionality from windows explorer.

When you add one by one(using Add-file/folder) buttons, you will have to select a file or folder which contains a game or application, specify a name which will appear on xbox selection-screen when you've burned the disc, a discription and (optional) image which should be displayed when this item is selected on (xbox)screen.

If you'll use the Drag&Drop, the name and discription will be automatically specified (using Title which is stored in default.xbe-file). The image will not be selected, you'll have select the image using the "edit" button for each item.

You can specify a disc size (before) you add anything so the application check automatically if there is enough space on the disc for the item you want to add on the specified disc.

You can select (if there are any imported/installed) a different theme, if there are no themes available you can only select default. Themes are used for MenuX.

It's not possible to download or install a skin for MXM yet, but there is allso a default one for this. The ability of downloading and installing skins will be implemented later.

Before you are going to create the Multigame-ISO file you can check the appearence on Xbox screen using the "Preview" button.

Finally you can create the multigame-iso file using "Create ISO image" button. One special thing with this is that C-XBox Tool is the only one which does create the final mg-iso directly from the game/app iso-image without creating any temp-files (not even in memory).

There is the ability of creating only the necessary files In MenuX wizard using the "Create files" button. But if you've used one or more iso-files, this function will not be available. When you create only the necessary files, you can put these files on your "burn" project and the GAME/APP folders.

Creating only the necessary files is not available on MXM wizard.

FTP

This feature allows you to transfer folders and/or ISO-files to your XBox.

You can use the "add folde" button to add a folder or the "add iso" button to add an iso-file. You can allso Drag and Drop folders and/or iso-files from windows explorer.

When you are using the buttons, you can select the destination folder and when using drag&drop the destination will be the default destination which is specified in "Preferences". For example when transferring a folder named "Test", the destination will be "/F/games/Test" or "/F/apps/Test". When transferring an iso-file, the destination folder will be created using the Title of the xbe-file.

You can allways use the "Edit" button for any changes to make.

Transferring of iso-files will be "on-the-fly", which means directly from an iso-file without creating any temp-files.

If a destination folder allready exists while transferring, you'll receive an error like "request action not taken". Check for existance before you are goint to transfer any file or folder. It's not possible yet to delete, edit or replace a file or folder from Xbox using the application, this could be implemented in the future but I don't guarantee anything.

While transferring, you can follow the stats of the files/folders and there will be a new window appear with a lot of information like, speed, remaining time, filesizes etc....

Scan Folder

This feature allows you to search for existing (valid x)ISO-files from a specified Folder. It searches for ISO-files and put them on the list.

If you want to extract or tranfer one or more files from the list, you can check(select) them and use the "Extract selected" button to add them to the "Extract ISO" page or use the "FTP selected" button to add them to the "FTP" page.

You don't have to remove all items from the list for making a new searc(scan), when you use the "Scan folder" button, the list well be emptied and refilled with new files found.

Drag&Drop from windows explorer!

Explore ISO

This feature allows you to explore an ISO-file and if the aspi drivers are installed you can allso explore a disc which is burned using an ISO-file.

You can allso extract the ISO-file or the disc you are exploring. With the ability of extracting one or more folders/files.

You can allso replace a file, but the filesize and name must be the same as it is in the ISO-file.This is handy for patched files or you can extract one, patch it and replace with the patched one.

Drag&drop functionality is avaliable here again.

XBE Patch

This feature allows you to patch any xbe-file.

When you select an xbe-file, the Title which is stored will appear on the screen.

If "create a new file" is checked, there will be a new file created and patched without editing the original file, or you can select to not create a new file and the original file will be patched.

Edit xbe-title

This feature allows you to edit the Title which is stored in a xbe-file.

You can choose to create a new "renamed" file or just edit the the title of the original file.

Image editor

This is a very simple image editor. This is useful if you need to rotate an image, save in another format, crop(cut) to a selection, resize the image, and paste a copied area to a selected area.

You can use your edited image with multigame-wizard.

Do not expect features of, something like, Photoshop because it's been made for simple use and to be handy if you don't have any image editing software.

Options/Preferences

You can set your preferences for Multigame wizard, FTP, Extract ISO, Create ISO and select your language if it's in the list.

There are about 8 languages available (6 in v2.0.4), Danish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Turkish.

You can specify your preferences for multigame like your default image folder, default discsize, default theme(when available more themes), and default skin. There is just one skin available until now but if I'll have time to make another one or if someone sends me any skins, this feature will be enabled.

On the FTP tab, you can(must) put the IP of your XBox, username, password, specify the port(which is normally 21), check passive mode or not (default unchecked), specify a connection timeout-time in seconds and specify the default destination folder on your Xbox's HD.

Version 2.0.5 and above will you give the ability to remove the "source-folder" after creating the ISO file. This is usefull if you don't have enough space on your HD.

Again from v2.0.5 and above, it will be possible to remove the extracted iso-file directly after the create process is finished for that file. And by adding an ISO file for extraction, you can specify if the "autocheck" box should be default checked or unchecked.
