PDFCreator permet de générer des fichiers PDF à partir de n'importe quelle application supportant l'impression. Le logiciel s'utilise comme une imprimante virtuelle qu'il suffit de choisir à l'impression d'un document pour générer le fichier PDF, et cela à partir de n'importe quel logiciel.

Alors que les autres alternatives gratuites sont assez limitées en options, PDFCreator se rapproche beaucoup plus d'Acrobat en permettant d'ajuster la compression des divers formats d'image, en n'incluant que certaines polices ou bien en ajustant la résolution. Vous pouvez même sécuriser vos PDF.

C'est un logiciel très complet qui n'a rien à envier au logiciel d'Adobe.

Important : Il faut préalablement installer le .Net Framework 4.7.2 (ou supérieur) de Microsoft qui est nécessaire pour utiliser le logiciel PDFCreator. Vous pouvez le télécharger à cette adresse .Net Framework 4.7.2.

- Incompatible changes : Internet connection is required on the first application start to activate an internal library. Installation succeeds offline, but the application won't start until activation is completed. Once activated, it works offline as normal. For more details.
