Version 2026.1 du 14/12/2025- Autodesk Alias 2026.1 adds new modeling tools, including Curve & COS Trim and Subdiv Symmetry Align. It enhances the Soft Proportional Modification tool, Alias to VRED Live Referencing, and VRED Rendering in Alias. The update also resolves numerous customer-reported crashes and issues.
- General : Loading files with a large number of cameras no longer causes Alias to freeze when Keep Windows and Keep Cameras is turned off in Open File options.
- General : Pressing the space bar now allows you to confirm with default responses in several confirmation windows.
- General : Look At: Fixed an issue where the Look At option behaved differently on stitched geometry.
- General : Fixed a launch failure caused by special characters in Windows account names when using Polish language settings. Alias now supports multi-byte characters in these scenarios. See Multi-byte Character Support.
- General : Fixed display and save issues involving special characters in file names and user accounts.
- General : Fixed the plugin Search Path functionality so plug-ins now appear correctly in Plug-in Manager. Note that after changing the Plugin Search Path preference, you need to restart Alias for the changes to take effect.
- General : Fixed an issue where Automotive Assets 2025 failed to install after completing AliasStudio 2025.1 installation. This occurred on clean Windows 10 environments and affected Alias AutoStudio versions 2023 to 2025.1.
- General : Fixed an issue where clicking the Non-Proportional Scale icon in the ViewCube options caused the view to jump unexpectedly.
- General : Corrected the behavior of the minute (mm) option in the Increment and Save Setting, which previously displayed the current month instead of minutes.
- General : Fixed an issue where Auto Hide did not function properly when undocked windows were stacked on top of each other.
- General : Alias no longer crashes when switching to the VRED Renderer on systems with AMD graphic cards.
- General : Improved performance for large files especially when copying and pasting.
- UI : Floating window groups: Selecting Help and Resize to Fit now work as expected for floating groups and tabbed floating groups. When the windows are a tabbed floating group, selecting Help accesses the help topic for the active tab. When windows are a non-tabbed floating group, selecting Help accesses the help topic for the left-most window in the group.
- UI : Floating window group: Fixed an issue where double-clicking the title bar did not collapse the group as expected.
- UI : Stretch Curve and Transform Curve tools: Improved handle selection accuracy.
- UI : Docked windows: Fixed an issue where windows docked to the Alias main window could not access the window pulldown menus.
- UI : Transform CV tool: Improved the icons for Edge, Edge Loop, and Face to make them more distinguishable.
- UI : The number fields in Alias windows now automatically increase in size when you increase the window size.
- UI : Fixed UI scaling and column alignment issues in the Min Max Curvature tool window.
- UI : Duplicate > Object: Improved the performance when Layer Symmetry is on.
- UI : Object Lister: The lister now correctly focuses on the selected layer after you use Select Layers > Layers by Picked Objects.
- UI : Corrected window placement behavior in multi-monitor setups to ensure windows open in expected locations. You can also use Windows > Gather Floating Windows to automatically move all open working Tool Editors to the current screen.
- UI : Marking Menu responsiveness has been improved.
- UI : Curve-to-Curve Deviation tool: Corrected behavior where dragging the range manipulator arrow incorrectly set minimum value to zero.
- UI : You can now hide diagnostic shaders from appearing in the Diagnostic Shaders window using Short Menus. Open the Hotkey Menu Editor, then click the Short Menu icon beside the diagnostic shaders you want to hide.
- UI : History View now has the same All, Picked, and By Layer filter options as the History Visualizer.
- UI : Restored labels for stacked windows, which were missing in recent UI updates.
- UI : Layer Bar: Improved performance when using LMB or RMB to change layer color.
- UI : Windows now automatically adjust their position to ensure the entire window is visible. Instead of centering on the main application window (which could be partially off-screen), dialogs are now centered on the display monitor, preventing hidden windows and improving usability.
