Daemon Tools Lite est un logiciel qui émule virtuellement un CD-ROM ! Il permet, comme beaucoup d'autres, d'émuler un ou plusieurs lecteurs sur votre PC (jusqu'à 4 lecteurs virtuels CD/DVD) mais se démarque ensuite par le nombre d'options qu'il propose.

Il est ainsi possible de monter la plupart des types d'images disques existants (CUE, ISO, CCD...) et d'émuler différentes protections CD afin de contourner les éventuels problèmes de lectures (Laserlock, SecuRom, SafeDisc).

Il offre bien sûr la possibilité de régler les différents paramètres des lecteurs virtuels ainsi créés et offre diverses fonctions d'automatisation (lancement au démarrage, montage automatique...).

Daemon Tools supporte les fichiers images suivantes :

- ccd (CloneCD)
- bwt (Blindwrite)
- mds (Media Descriptor File)
- cdi (Discjuggler)
- nrg (Nero)
- pdi (Instant CD/DVD)
- b5t (BlindWrite 5)

Le fichier de traduction est à placer dans C:Program Files/.../D-ToolsLang/

Important : A l'installation, décocher DAEMON Tools Search Bar pour ne pas installer le logiciel de publicité.
